Chapter 5 in Marketable Permits, 2025, pp 27-30 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Textbooks distinguish two major types of marketable permit systems: (1) absolute limit; and (2) credit systems. The first one is often called cap and trade. Permit trading is common for both of them. Apart from this, they are very different. In what follows the two systems will be characterised.
