Abstract: Abstract This chapter discusses the methodology adopted for empirical analysis of the Vietnamese motorcycle industry. This book conducts retrospective case studies of suppliers purposefully selected so as to illuminate the diversity of learning trajectories and sources. Data collection is mainly through repeated rounds of in-depth interviews with these suppliers, which were supplemented by industry-level statistics and interviews with other key actors in the industry.
