Abstract: Abstract Gender deprivation in earning has been revealed by using NSSO data in Chap. 6 and in Chap. 7. However, the relationship between deprivation and productivity was rather weak. Hence it is necessary to seek into the causes of gender deprivation through a micro econometric analysis of the unit level data. It is clear that these deprivations have no economic logic behind it. There are social factors that are in action. The micro econometric analysis helps us to unravel the inherent tendencies.
