Abstract While NSSO data contain an overall macro view about urban financial exclusion in terms of accessibility to credit and other services, a field survey was considered necessary to get a clear and more recent picture of the ground reality that especially throws light on the problems perceived by the economic agents in accessing formal services in a sustained manner.
