Chapter Chapter 4 in Nonlinear Optimization Applications Using the GAMS Technology, 2013, pp 49-66 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract An important problem in engineering and other domains of activity is the solution of nonlinear systems of algebraic equations. In this chapter we present some applications involving nonlinear systems of equations. We focus on a GAMS representation of these applications and on their local solutions given by CONOPT, KNITRO, MINOS, and SNOPT.
