Chapter Chapter 4 in Optimization Models in a Transition Economy, 2014, pp 261-334 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Practically all the former socialist countries started their market reforms under the conditions of isolation from the world markets, out of the international system of labor division, which existed then in the whole world. For some countries (such as Hungary and Poland) this isolation became substantially weak at the certain moments of time (for instance, at the end of the 1970s), but these conditions were preserved in a whole and the political factors were not the only reason for them.
