Chapter 11 in Matrix Algebra From a Statistician’s Perspective, 1997, pp 139-160 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The subject of this chapter is linear systems. This subject was considered previously in Chapter 7. The emphasis in Chapter 7 was on whether the linear system is consistent, that is, whether it has solutions, whereas the emphasis in the present chapter is on the solutions themselves. The presentation makes heavy use of the results of Chapters 9 and 10 (on generalized inverses and idempotent matrices).
