Abstract: Abstract When the ratio of two integers is not an integer, it is called a rational fraction. Rational fractions fill in part of the intervals between the integers. The set of numbers consisting of integers and rational fractions is referred to as the set of rational numbers. A sample of these is shown graphically in fig. 1.1.
