Chapter Chapter 5 in International Entrepreneurship, 2009, pp 35-45 from Springer

Abstract: All businesses need information to make better decisions. Entrepreneurs are no exception. In fact, being more careful and action-oriented decision makers, entrepreneurs need more and better information on which to base their decisions. Just what are the information needs? From where does the information come? How are the key changes in the markets detected, and how is the information used? These are extremely critical issues not only for entrepreneurs but also regional or national governments who would like to generate an entrepreneurial culture. It is not a sufficient condition but a necessary condition that entrepreneurs receive good information that will support their decisions.
