Chapter Chapter 5 in Algorithms for Computer Algebra, 1992, pp 151-203 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In the previous three chapters we have introduced the general mathematical framework for computer algebra systems. In Chapter 2 we discussed the algebraic domains which we will be working with. In Chapter 3 we concerned ourselves with the representations of these algebraic domains in a computer environment. In Chapter 4 we discussed algorithms for performing the basic arithmetic operations in these algebraic domains.
