Chapter 1 in Graphs and Networks, 2004, pp 1-3 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The mathematical notation and terminology used in this book are conventional. However some concepts are symbolized in varying ways throughout the literature. To avoid ambiguity, we specify some of our usage in the next section. In Sec. 1.2, we discuss the ranks of transfiniteness; these play an important role in our theory of transfinite graphs and networks.
