Abstract: Abstract Given a transient semidynamical system (X, ß, Φ, ω), we introduce an additive functional A and we define the time changed semidynamical system (X, ß, Φ A , ω). We study the properties of the new semidynamical system and we try to give a comparison with (X, ß, Φ, ω). Conversely, we give the conditions fulfilled by two semidynamical system Φ and Φ′ to get the existence of an additive functional A satisfying Φ′ = Φ A .
