Us and Them

Steven Romero

Chapter Chapter 1 in Eliminating “Us and Them”, 2011, pp 1-12 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract At first glance, the term “us and them” does not necessarily have a negative connotation. The word “and” is usually indicative of something additive or inclusive. But when it comes to an Information Technology (IT) organization and the business it supports, use of the word “and” is far more indicative of something divisive than additive. This was not always the case.
