Chapter Chapter 3 in Investing in Emerging Markets, 2011, pp 53-70 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The People’s Republic of China has enjoyed spectacular growth for much of the past twenty years. Annual growth rates in double digits are quite common and nearly the expected norm. Although China’s growth rate slowed for a few quarters, the Great Recession scarcely influenced it, and it soon powered back to reestablish breathtaking growth.
