Abstract: Abstract Jim Goetz’s current areas of interest include cloud, mobile, consumer, and enterprise companies. He has helped create and grow a number of technology companies and product lines to market-leading positions both as an entrepreneur and as a partner to founders. He currently serves on the boards of Appirio, Barracuda, Jive, Metaswitch Networks, Nimble Storage, Palo Alto Networks, Pocket Gems, and Sencha. He was previously on the boards of AdMob (Google), Clearwell (Symantec), Dash (RIM), Entrisphere (Ericsson), PeakStream (Google), Peribit (Juniper), and Rhapsody (Brocade), and has been involved with Bluecoat, Timetra (Alcatel), and TopSpin (Cisco). Prior to joining Sequoia Capital, Jim served as a general partner at Accel Partners. In 1996, he cofounded VitalSigns Software (Lucent).
