The Ask
Jeffrey David Stauch
Chapter Chapter 10 in Effective Frontline Fundraising, 2011, pp 149-170 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract So Ive finally got to the solicitation, the “ask.” What took me so long? The book is titled Effective Frontline Fundraising, after all. Why have I spent so much time on the back end, behind-the-scene stuff? I hope, if nothing else, that the amount of time that its taken to get here proves that the actual solicitation is only one part in a much, much larger cycle, and that there is a good amount of preparation that should go into a solicitation of any size, especially a big one.
