Abstract:
Abstract Martin Keen, the principal of Keen Design Studio, has created products for many companies, primarily in the footwear industry. In 2003, he patented a hybrid sandal—shoe for competitive sailors and launched the Keen Footwear brand based on the design concept of ultra-practical utility. Keen has developed designs for innovative sports gear, lighting, and functional art. He developed the concept for a line of upright furniture to facilitate creativity and productivity by allowing sitters to quasi-stand at their workstations in studios and offices. In 2012, he launched Focal Upright Furniture.
