The Right to Control Operations
Jonathan T. Hyman
Chapter Chapter 4 in The Employer Bill of Rights, 2012, pp 63-83 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Recent economic times have been tough. More Americans are out of work, for longer durations, than any time in recent history. Yet employers do not want to shutter their operations, lay off employees, or reduce their working hours. Reality being what it is, however, more and more businesses find themselves having to reduce their workforces, either through head count or work hours. Do you know what to do if you are forced to restructure your operations or your workforce? There exist a few key laws that you must follow, or you will find yourself faced with an expensive lawsuit that your business cannot afford.
