Chapter Chapter 1 in Lobbyists at Work, 2013, pp 1-14 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Howard Marlowe is, quite literally, the lobbyists’ lobbyist. In his role as president of the nonprofit American League of Lobbyists (ALL), he speaks on behalf of his profession before government and in the news media. The League of Lobbyists provides training and networking opportunities for its members and has advocated for greater disclosure and stricter ethics requirements for lobbyists. At the time of this interview, Marlowe was in the midst of a lobbying campaign to convince Congress to revise the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995.
