Chapter Chapter 3 in The CPO, 2012, pp 16-19 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract I have been lying in bed for what feels like years. Maybe even a lifetime. I’ve tossed and turned to the point where I have a sheet cobra-wrapped around my right leg, inhibiting blood flow. CPO of Heartland Consolidated Industries. Fort Wayne. My impending Greenway Electronics meeting. Heidi. Autowerke. The kids. I sit up, no longer able to pretend I’m asleep. Looking at the red LED glow of the clock, I put my glasses on and see it’s after midnight, meaning it’s past 7:00 a.m. in Dusseldorf—Heidi is up. Before I think it through, I am dialing our home phone.
