Abstract:
Abstract The small town of Barkerville is located some 400 miles from the major city of Vancouver in the interior of the Canadian Province of British Columbia. Its itinerant population today is about 200; and it is essentially a tourist town with dance hall girls, a hanging judge, and historic buildings. Visitors can also pan for gold.
