Chapter Chapter 11 in Fundamentals of Clinical Trials, 2010, pp 199-214 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract No study is better than the quality of its data. Data in clinical trials are collected from several sources – interviews, questionnaires, participant examinations, or laboratory determinations. Also, data that have been collected and evaluated by someone outside the study may be used in a trial; for example, diagnoses obtained from death certificates or hospital records.
