Abstract:
Abstract In the structural dynamics community, model order reduction techniques have been widely used in global-local analysis, reanalysis and structural dynamic optimization, eigenvalue problem, structural vibration and buckling, sensitivity studies and control parameters design, model update, and damage detection. Different nonstructural problems related to heat transfer, fluid-structure interaction, and other linear and nonlinear steady-state boundary-value problems have also been analyzed using a reduced order model. A detailed review on model order reduction techniques can be found in Noor (Noor, 1994). Van Woerkom (1990) carried out an elaborate survey of model order reduction methods for application in flexible spacecraft dynamics.
