Chapter chapter 1 in Advanced Calculus, 1994, pp 1-21 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The purposes of this chapter are to introduce the notation and the algebraic operations of constant forms, and to illustrate the sorts of mathematical ideas which are described by forms. This notation and these algebraic operations are used throughout Chapters 2–8. Readers who are perplexed rather than enlightened by such primitive physical notions as work and flow should skip the discussions involving these ideas.
