Abstract:
Abstract The region D is the plane minus one point. There is no sea, but there is an infinitely small lake P 0. (See Figure 6.1.) According to our rule, we are not allowed to move the curve across P 0. No matter how small, a lake is a lake, so we may not move our rubber railroad across P 0. Figure 6.1.
