Chapter Chapter 5 in Group Theoretical Methods and Their Applications, 1992, pp 105-158 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Even though all considerations made in the subsequent sections are preliminarily meant for finite groups, most statements also extend to a larger class, namely to the class of all compact Lie groups. The latter will not be defined until later in Section 5.7, so as not to burden those readers who are primarily interested in finite groups.
