Chapter Chapter 11 in Linear Integral Equations, 1997, pp 272-305 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In the previous chapter, we solved the Fredholm integral equations of the first kind by converting them to Volterra integral equations and to Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. One of the reasons for the simplicity of that formulation was that we had only one variable of integration. We need to develop methods that solve the integral equations relating to boundaries such as a cylinder or a sphere.
