Chapter 8 in Hilbert Space Operators, 2003, pp 75-92 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract One of the fundamental theorems of (linear) functional analysis, namely, the Open Mapping Theorem, says that a continuous linear transformation of a Banach space onto a Banach space is an open mapping (a mapping is open if it maps open sets onto open sets). A crucial corollary is the Inverse Mapping Theorem (see e.g., [32, p. 228]).
