A chapter in The Maple Handbook, 1996, pp 95-130 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Maple excels in solving equations and systems of equations. Everyone who has tried to solve even a simple system of equations by hand has experienced the havoc wreaked by making a simple mistake in arithmetic. Maple doesn’t make arithmetic mistakes or transcription errors; this doesn’t mean you should trust every Maple answer without question—checking the feasibility of your results is necessary whether you are using pencil and paper or a computer!
