Chapter 14 in State Space and Input-Output Linear Systems, 1998, pp 187-194 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this section, we extend the development in §13 to cover time-invariant discrete-time state space systems. The proofs of some of the results are a bit easier than the proofs of their continuous-time analogues; much of the technical machinery which we shall require is already at hand. As in §13, various definitions and results are stated and proved both in the context of “abstract” discrete-time linear systems, as per Definition 6.2, and in the setting of realizations.
