Stochastic Ordering of the Number of Records

Abstract: Abstract Given a stochastic ordering of the independent random variables X 1,..., X n, we study the stochastic ordering of the numbers of records in X k1,…, X kn, where (k 1,…, k n ) covers the set of n! permutations of {1,…, n}. Three classical types of stochastic ordering are considered.
