Probability Models for an Employment Problem

Nancy L. Spruill and Joseph L. Gastwirth

Chapter 17 in Statistical Theory and Applications, 1996, pp 199-213 from Springer

An inherent tension between the goals of hiring the best applicant and keeping families together is demonstrated.
