On Assessing Multiple Equivalences with Reference to Bioequivalence

Abstract:
Abstract Exact α-level procedures for assessing equivalence among several formulations when equivalence is defined in terms of standardized differences between pairs of means, are derived. One problem involves assessing equivalence between k — 1 variants of a test formulation and a standard reference drug. Another problem involves assessing simultaneous equivalence of k; formulations. Critical values are given for both problems. The problem of multiple assessments of partial equivalence is addressed and simple procedures are indicated.
