Abstract:
Abstract The pioneering work of Cruse (1969) laid the foundation for the use of fundamental solutions in elastodynamic problems in R3 and related boundary integral equation method. The techniques developed through the boundary element research using the direct time stepping approach or the integral transform approach advanced the theory of elastic waves in solids, their timedependent behavior, and applications, especially in the area of soil-structure interaction and earthquake engineering.
