A chapter in Variational Methods for Free Surface Interfaces, 1987, pp 165-172 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The dynamic deformation of a viscous droplet under the influence of anisotropic surface forces is examined. Asymptotic calculations are compared with the case of isotropic surface tension with possible relevance to the cleavage stage in the division of biological cells.
