Chapter Chapter 3 in Group Invariance in Engineering Boundary Value Problems, 1985, pp 35-61 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, different methods for determining similarity transformations of partial differential equations will be discussed. A similarity transformation reduces the number of independent variables in the partial differential equations. The transformed system of equations and auxiliary conditions is known as a “similarity representation”.
