Abstract:
Summary The reference posterior distribution for the parameter of interest in a widely used class of biological assays is obtained. This class contains as a particular instance the very well known slope ratio assay. The results obtained avoid the classical difficulties associated to the frequentist estimation of ratios and generalize some previous analysis.
