Abstract:
Abstract A bipolar plate cell is modelled by using Laplace’s equation and the finite element technique. The model is used to predict the primary current density distribution and bypass current for various cell geometries and physical properties of the electrolyte, electrodes, and other cell components. The model is compared to an earlier resistive network type model.
