Chapter Lecture 13 in An Introduction to Complex Analysis, 2011, pp 83-90 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this lecture, we shall introduce integration of complex-valued functions along a directed contour. For this, we shall begin with the integration of complex-valued functions of a real variable. Our approach is based on Riemann integration from calculus. We shall also prove an inequality that plays a fundamental role in our later lectures.
