Chapter Lecture 3 in An Introduction to Complex Analysis, 2011, pp 11-19 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this lecture, we shall first show that every complex number can be written in exponential form, and then use this form to raise a rational power to a given complex number. We shall also extract roots of a complex number. Finally, we shall prove that complex numbers cannot be ordered.
