Chapter Chapter 7 in Stochastic Approaches for Systems Biology, 2011, pp 201-219 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we take the Tyson–Novák model [108] for the fission yeast cell cycle as a case study [159]. This deterministic model is a practical example using nonelementary reactions and relative concentrations, the two central features of our extended 2MA approach. This will allow us to investigate the price of higher-order truncations by comparing the simulated cycle time statistics with experiments.
