A chapter in Number Theory, Analysis and Geometry, 2012, pp 461-474 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In 1976, Serge Lang and Hale Trotter formulated general conjectures about the value distribution of traces of Frobenius automorphisms acting on an elliptic curve. In this paper, we study a modular analog. More precisely, we consider the distribution of values of Fourier coefficients of Hecke eigenforms of weight k ≥ 4.
