Chapter Chapter 9 in Thermodynamics of Materials with Memory, 2012, pp 217-234 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We present in this chapter functionals that are free energies, provided certain assumptions on the relaxation function are valid. In the first section, the general nonisothermal model introduced in Chapter 6 is considered, while in subsequent sections, these functionals are discussed for materials introduced in Chapters 7, 8.
