Chapter Chapter 6 in Understanding Statistics Using R, 2013, pp 107-136 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract We have learned that probability and sampling play a role in statistics. In this chapter we show that probability (frequency) distributions exist for different types of statistics; i.e. the binomial distribution (frequency distribution of dichotomous data) and normal distribution (frequency distribution of continuous data).
