A chapter in Macroscopic Quantum Coherence and Quantum Computing, 2001, pp 359-366 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Josephson nanocircuits have been recently proposed as a physical realization of Quantum Bits. In this contribution we analyze the decoherence in Josephson qubits in the charge regime. In particular we study the effect of background charges in the substrate responsible for the 1/f noise.
