A chapter in Quantum Communication, Computing, and Measurement, 1997, pp 159-169 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract We present recent theoretical results in the context of quantum computing and error correction. In particular, a short review of the ion trap quantum computer is given. Moreover, we present a novel scheme for quantum gate error correction in the ion trap model system. Finally, a method for a tomographic characterization of quantum gates is presented.
