A chapter in Clifford Algebras with Numeric and Symbolic Computations, 1996, pp 189-199 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This article discusses unipodal numbers, a kind of hyperbolic version of the complex plane, where the imaginary unit is replaced by a unipotent u 2 = 1, u ≠ ±1. A function theory for unipodal numbers is sketched, the values of functions are evaluated using minimal polynomials, and a related computer package for MATHEMATICA is described. Unipodal numbers offer a nice first step for teachers of Clifford algebra.
