Chapter 1 in Hybrid Simulation Models of Production Networks, 2001, pp 1-42 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Production of goods is a process of transforming matter from one form into another. This process together with the production of services is the basis of the economic activity. Production is a complex activity subject, among others, to the laws of physics and human decisions. The latter determine to a good degree the efficacy of production.
