Operating and Capital Expenditures Models: Manage Your Budget

Tom Y. Sawyer

Chapter Chapter 9 in Financial Modeling for Business Owners and Entrepreneurs, 2015, pp 185-211 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, you will learn how to plan, create, and use the Operating Expenditure (OPEX) model and the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) model. These models are used to forecast, respectively, general operating expenses and capital expenditures. The two models are presented together in one chapter because they present and juxtapose the concepts of expense and capital, and presenting them together allows the important linkages between them to be explained.
