Abstract: Abstract Etsy ( www.etsy.com ) is an e-commerce web site focused on handmade or vintage items and supplies founded by Robert Kalin, Chris Maguire, Haim Schoppik, and Jared Tarbell (Figure 5-1). In April 2015, when it started trading on the NASDAQ at a valuation of more than $3.5 billion, it was generating total merchandise sales of more than $2.3 billion annually.
